The essentials
Greece welcomes all travelers without vaccination evidence.
Offerings

Monuments, islands, beaches, and mountains. Greece draws millions of tourists searching for a sunny coastal retreat or a history-focused excursion.

Outside of summer, you’ll frequently be the lone visitor in its renowned resorts.

Who’s allowed

Greece no longer requires confirmation of immunization or Covid recovery upon entry, therefore anybody with a valid passport may visit.

What’s banned?

Greece has minimal limitations. Since May 1, entering the country no longer requires Covid immunization or recovery. Museums, sports arenas, and theaters no longer need documentation of vaccination/recovery.

Indoor mask rules persist.

Visitors who get Covid must quarantine for at least five days.

How’s Covid?

Infection rates are still high but have declined since early January when Omicron took hold. The CDC warns Americans not to visit to Greece due to its high danger.

By June 28, Greece had 3,624,556 Covid cases and 30,190 fatalities. More than 73% of the population is fully vaccinated.

Expectations?

Most restaurants, pubs, museums, and theaters are open in Greece. Masks are no longer needed inside, although they are on buses, trains, and ferries.
