By joining up with Vietnam’s largest hospitality and leisure chain Vinpearl, Marriott International will convert and develop about 2,200 rooms across eight hotels in Vietnam, greatly increasing its portfolio of world-class properties in the country. As a result of this partnership, Marriott, Sheraton, and Four Points by Sheraton are all planning to open hotels in the country, as well as the Autograph Collection Hotels brand.

“We are thrilled to be working with Vinpearl to accelerate our growth in Vietnam,”  stated Rajeev Menon, Marriott International’s President, Asia Pacific (excluding Greater China).  “With the country’s solid foundation for a resilient economy, and continuous growth of its infrastructure especially in the tourism sector, we are confident this collaboration will enable us to better cater to our guests’ needs.”

Six of the eight hotels are slated to join Marriott’s system later this year as a result of conversions.

This will be Vietnam’s first Autograph Collection hotel when Vinpearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection opens in 2017. Over 260 independently owned hotels around the world have been hand-selected for their innate craftsmanship and unique viewpoint on design and hospitality, and the lifestyle hotel will be one of them. There are expected to be 223 rooms and suites in the Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81 hotel, as well as three food and beverage outlets, a business center, a spa, an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness center. The hotel’s current name is Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81.

Following the renaming of Vinpearl Luxury Danang, the Danang Marriott Resort & Spa is scheduled to fly the Marriott Hotels brand flag. Non Nuoc Beach, just a few miles from Danang’s city center, is the ideal location for the retreat, which is expected to contain 200 rooms and suites, 39 villas with modern, home design, and locally-inspired elements. An infinity pool, a spa, a kids’ club, a tennis court, and several water sports opportunities are all part of the project’s design.

As a rising tourist destination, the Sheraton Phu Quoc Long Beach Resort is located on the western shore of Phu Quoc, Vietnam’s largest island. As the former Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort, the new resort is expected to offer up to 500 rooms, suites, and villas, three restaurants, a conference center with plenty of room for meetings and events, and a kids’ club.

In the heart of Vietnam’s largest port city, the Sheraton Hai Phong, formerly known as Vinpearl Hotel Imperial, Hai Phong, is poised to become one of the city’s top choices for business and leisure travelers both. More than 362 modern, residential rooms and suites, four restaurants and bars, a banquet hall, and a fitness center are expected to form part of the complex.

Located in Mekong Delta’s bustling city of Can Tho, Sheraton Can Tho is aiming to be a landmark hotel. The Vinpearl Hotel Can Tho, a 262-room establishment on the banks of the Can Tho River, is surrounded by a variety of tourist attractions and is currently open for business. Guest can relax in the hotel’s restaurant, lobby lounge, terrace café, and outdoor pool area with poolside bar. There’s also a large ballroom for special events.

Located in the heart of Lang Son, the Four Points by Sheraton Lang Son is a 21-story hotel with stunning views of the surrounding forests and mountains. The Vinpearl Hotel Lang Son, which is now under construction, is slated to become the city’s first globally recognized hotel brand. Each of the 127 rooms and suites, as well as the hotel’s four restaurants, a spa, and a ballroom, will have a vintage modern style, fashionable comfort, an authentic feeling of place, and genuine service for today’s business and leisure travelers alike.

The Sheraton Vinh and the Four Points by Sheraton Ha Giang are slated to open in 2025. For both, they are situated in enticing locales that will draw both domestic and international visitors.

There are ten Marriott properties in Vietnam now under Marriott International’s management. The company recently revealed its plans to sign a pipeline of 30 hotels, more than quadrupling its portfolio in Vietnam. Almost 40 hotels have been added to the company’s pipeline in Vietnam with this announcement.

There are more than 18,500 hotel rooms and villas operated by Vinpearl as the country’s top tourism, resort, entertainment, and hospitality company. Vinpearl has 35 hotels and resorts spread throughout 17 towns and provinces in Vietnam. It is part of Vinpearl’s plan to expand and internationalize the brand in the hospitality industry by partnering with Marriott International. It is hoped that Vinpearl’s signature local “all-in-one” complexes and world-class standard services by an international prestigious hotel corporation will enhance the different experiences of domestic and foreign tourists.
